St Leonards is located on The Pacific Highway close to Crows Nest, a few km north of Sydney.

Several multi national companies have their headquarters here, including Cisco, and IBM.

St Leonards also has one of the campuses of the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), which is adjacent to the Royal North Shore Hospital

Like Sydney as a whole, the St Leonards area has a  good reputation for its abundance and quality of restaurants; justifiable as there are over 100 restaurants, cafes and bars here.
